Although the common denominator of my works is colour itself, this can also represent a reference into understanding the pictorial work both technically and stylistically. I have been continuously interested in the topic of colours. The portrait, such a complex subject in the course of history, undergoes chromatic mutations, transgressions of the forms towards an area focused on the hazard, subsequent impact or the element of surprise. My painting becomes an independent object by breaking the rough surface, through the exfoliation of the paper layers, through the irregular surface in the end. Drawing the negative on the back of the canvas or paper, by pushing those impulses, incisions started to emerge like lines of force, like well-defined forms, and finally „correct”.
